Chance to have your say on draft Tain Conservation Area Appraisal and Conservation Area Management Plan
Members of the public are being invited to view and comment upon the draft Tain Conservation Area Appraisal and Conservation Area Management Plan.
The draft documents have been drawn up to help safeguard the distinct architectural and historical features of Tain.
The plan hopes to recognise Tain's heritage which ranges from its origins as a place of pilgrimage and sanctuary, its Royal Burgh status, the unusual amounts of trees within the unique conservation area and the rich range of architectural features.
Speaking about the draft documents, chairwoman of Easter Ross Committee, Councillor Fiona Robertson said: “I would encourage all interested parties to view and comment upon these important documents, as they are a vital tool in the preservation of our unique, historic Town.”
The draft documents are available to view online at http://consult.highland.gov.uk/ until April 12 2021.
