Bargain shop Poundland has shut its store at Inverness Retail Park with immediate effect.

The store closed on Saturday (April 16) with the next nearest one being on the city's High Street.

It is believed that a new outlet may be opening on the Carse Industrial Estate.

The closure leaves a prime vacant retail open for new investment.

Poundland has been approached for comment.
