Golspie Primary School has called in police after further incidents of vandalism in its environs.

Waste and recycling bins have been upended and pushed out onto the road running next to the school.

It is also suspected that the area might be being used for underage drinking.

A social media post states: “There has been more vandalism and what may be underage drinking at Golspie Primary over the last weekend.

“The police have been informed and will be doing patrols.”

The school suffered incidents of vandalism last year with doors pulled off its playhouse and the contents thrown into the nearby graveyard.

Many items were found damaged beyond repair.

The roof of a metal shed where toys were stored was also pushed in, possibly by someone jumping on it.

Other areas of the village have also been targeted by vandals in recent months, in particular the public toilets at Fountain Road car park.
