Highland police investigating theft of 'large quantity' of heating oil at a Sutherland address

POLICE are hunting thieves who stole "a large quantity" of heating oil from a Sutherland address.

Officers have appealed for information and for anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward following the theft in Little Rogart.

A police spokesman said: "An outside oil tank has been opened and large quantity of kerosene has been removed.

"It is believed the incident has occurred from early May to mid-May. A request is made for any information as to the culprits or any suspicious vehicle/person/activity in the local area at this time."
