Police confirm body discovered in search for missing Highland teenager

A body has been found in the search for an Ardersier teenager.

Police confirmed that the body of a man was found in Aberdeen yesterday afternoon.

While a formal identification is yet to take place the family of David MacLeod, from Ardersier, have been informed.

A police spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that at around 3pm yesterday the body of a man was found in the wooded area near to Grandholm Drive in Aberdeen.

"Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of 18-year-old David MacLeod who was reported missing on Friday, June 19, has been informed."
