Police confirm arrest of two men in connection with death of Highland man

TWO men have been arrested in connection with the death of a Highland man.

Police Scotland has confirmed that two men, aged 21 and 28, have been arrested in connection with the death of the 36-year-old in Inverness.

The statement says: "Two men, aged 21 and 28, have been arrested in connection with the death of a 36-year-old man in Inverness.

Ross MacGillivray was found with serious injuries at a property in St Ninian Drive around 12.10am on Sunday, November 12 and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Enquiries are continuing."

In the wake of last weekend's death, Mr MacGillivray's family had posted a tribute which read: “Ross was a loving husband, a doting father, loved by his family and friends and all who met him.

"He will be especially missed but definitely not forgotten. We love you to the Moon, the stars, Jupiter and Mars.”

One Facebook user said: "Only the best and loveliest of memories of our younger years. Always a heart of gold and the kindest of souls. Thinking of your family at this devastating loss."
