Police appeal for info on phone mast damage

Police in Ullapool are appealing today for information concerning two incidents where mobile telephone mast sites at Meall Mor, Rhue, Ullapool, and at Knockan Crag, Elphin have been damaged by someone removing lightning protection tapes which contain copper cabling.

The incidents are believed to have occurred prior to Thursday, 7 June. Both areas are known to be popular walking routes for locals and visitors alike.

Any person who was in either area at the time and saw anything suspicious, or has information regarding the identity of any persons involved is requested to contact Police at Ullapool on 0845 600 5703 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
