The Pittentrail Inn in Rogart is on the market again, just a year after having been taken over by new owners.

ASG Commercial, Inverness, is marketing the four-bedroom hostelry, and two self-contained flats, for offers over £310,000.

The popular inn changed hands in June last year, having previously been operated by publican Hector Miller from 1997 until his death in December 2019.

Rogart Development Trust previously considered a community buy-out of the Pittentrail Inn.
Rogart Development Trust previously considered a community buy-out of the Pittentrail Inn.

Rogart Development Trust at one point formed a steering group to look into the possibility of a community takeover of the business – the inn's pub and restaurant is at the heart of the community.

However, an application for Scottish Land Fund Stage I funding was rejected.

ASG Commercial has confirmed the property is back on the market.

The sales brochure states: "The current owner purchased the property in 2021 with the intention of renovating the property before selling it on.

"Now the refurbishment is complete, it is the owner's desire to sell the business in order to pursue other business ventures.

"The present owners have maintained both the trading and physical aspects of the property to a good standard, presenting the sale in walk-in condition."
