The Roggiedolls band took center stage, treating the audience to an evening performance filled with traditional Scottish ceilidh tunes.

From the timeless classic "Dashing White Sergeant" to the lesser-known gem "Flying Scotsman," an unforgettable night of dancing ensued, culminating in a whirlwind performance of "Strip the Willow."

As the evening wound down, those in attendance came together for a rendition of "Auld Lang Syne".

Adding to the evening's enchantment was Kirsty McInnes, a talented singer from Badnellan, Brora.

Kirsty's voice captivated the crowd as she skillfully performed a mix of Gaelic and English traditional songs. A recent graduate from Plockton Music School, Kirsty will join the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow this autumn.

The Winmill-Hermann family from Stonehaven also graced the stage, showcasing their impressive musical talents on the flute and guitar while delivering delightful vocal performances.

The festivities continued with a supper featuring homemade sandwiches, cakes, and savouries. To support the maintenance of the hall, a raffle was held, raising funds for the venue's upkeep.

Attendees were pleased to learn that the hall had recently secured funding from the Highland Council Community Regeneration Fund, as confirmed by chair, Graham Charge.

Culrain & District Hall will host its next ceilidh event on Saturday, August 12, with doors opening at 7:30 pm.
