TAIN Amateur Swimming Club members made a splash at a recent Ross-shire gala with a significant medal and trophy haul.

Tain Royal Academy said of the Ross-shire Schools Swimming Gala: "A fantastic day.All swimmers were brilliant and we head back to school with a significant medal and trophy haul."

It added: "Thanks to all of the swimmers and also to Tain Amateur Swimming Club for their support and hard work with so many of the competitors."

Some of the notable achievements include:

S1 Girls joint 1st with Fortrose

S1 Boys 3rd

S2 Girls 2nd

S2 Boys joint 1st with Dingwall

S3 Girls 3rd

Sr Girls 1st

Sr Boys 1st

Mixed Girls relay 1st

Mixed Boys relay 1st

2nd place overall
