A THOUGHTFUL lass who walked miles to deliver colouring books to kids cooped up during the first coronavirus lockdown has been recognised for her efforts.
Maisie Star Torley also helped her mum hand over "cuddle bags" to children in hospital – at a time when the three-and-a-half year old was herself a patient at Raigmore.
The Tain lass, who attends Ankerville Nursery, received the Little Sunshine Award from Morrisons' supermarket in Alness.
Mum Elaine was delighted with the recognition of her daughter's efforts, marked with a gift voucher prize handed over by the supermarket's community champion, June Ross.
Mrs Torley said: "We are so proud of Maisie who is just a very kind and thoughtful little girl.
"She was presented with a certificate, an Amazon voucher and sunflower seeds for nursery kids to grow in the school garden.
"When she got the gift card she asked if she could share it with her friend by buying her some sweeties."
