Golspie High School enjoyed stunning weather for its sports day, which was held on Tuesday June 6.

All pupils took part in a minimum of two events with those wishing to compete for sports champion places competing in five events.

PE teacher Trish Macrae spoke of her pride in pupils who, she said were enthusiastic and competitive but also mindful of others.

“All pupils were a credit to themselves and the school as they demonstrated excellent determination to achieve while supporting each other throughout,” she said.

“Well done to all pupils but special congratulations to those who received a medal and also pupils who broke the school records.”

Ms Macrae thanked everyone who had contributed to make the day such a success including janitor Walter Mackay for white lining; teacher Naomi Allison and her creative class for designing and making house flags; as well as pipers, photographers, senior helpers and canteen staff who adjusted lunchtimes.

Ms Macrae continued: “A special thank-you to all staff. This day simply would not run without their help and support.

“Wonderful memories were created for staff, pupils and parents during sports day 2023."
