PET owners and field sport lovers gathered on Friday and Saturday at a popular event near Inverness.

With about 2000 tickets sold ahead of the event, Moy Country Fair was back in full force with a busy first day yesterday.

Now in its 43rd edition (39 of which were held in the fields of Moy Estate), the event will run over two days this weekend showcasing the best of field sports as well as Highland crafts and produce.

This year the committee was proud to introduce some novelties – among which axe-throwing and archery, a corner dedicated to activities for the youngest audience as well as hosting the Highland Food & Drink Trail for the first year.

Committee chairman, James Campbell, said: "We are delighted to have such a good day and a good crowd and to have some new areas and new things happening at Moy this year.

"We've got the usual gundogs displays and clay- pidgeon shooting but we have archery back this year and a new fishing corner and a children's corner – there is something for everyone this year.
