The 2022 Kyle of Sutherland Gala was a "great success", organisers have said.

Elissa Stevenson, who helps run the popular weekend, said: "There really was something for everyone."

One of the many highlights was the flower and vegetable show in Ardgay Hall.

There were 49 entries and the prize-giving and tea and cakes were well attended.

John Farquhar won the trophy for most overall points and Fiona Venters won the trophy for the best exhibit.

Thanks have gone to all those who supported events, to the groups that ran them, and to Creich and Ardgay and district community councils for providing funding.

Ms Stevenson said organisers were now looking for new gala committee members.
