Culrain and District Hall Committee was delighted to have a glorious, sunny day for its Garden Fete last Saturday, writes Jan Charge.
The day was a great success with folk coming from far and wide to buy plants and garden paraphernalia, and enjoy a catch-up with friends over tea and cakes.
Deputy Lieutenant Christine Mackay kindly agreed to judge the garden hat competition, which was won by Sue Tomlinson.
Children enjoyed games and the scavenger hunt in Carbisdale forest, which were organised by Anne Henderson.
The event was generously supported by Scotsburn Garden Centre of Tain and by Dornoch Garden Centre and Tool Hire.
The committee was delighted with the amount raised for hall renovations and thanks everyone who attended and supported the fete.”
