A LANDMARK Easter Ross building steeped in history is set for a new lease of life – with art-loving visitors invited to check it out next week.

The former Easter Logie Church was recently purchased from the Church of Scotland by neighbour Hilary Andexer.

She said: "It is and always has been an important building for the community and I felt it should be kept as a building for the community into the future."

Weddings and funerals can still be held here simply by contacting Hilary. She said: "The aim is to keep the church vibrant and very much alive by holding four fairs a year. One has already been held with our next Christmas fair to be held on Saturday, November 5 from10-4pm. Keep the date in your diary!"

To help create a monetary buffer against rising electricity costs and building repairs, she is also holding an art exhibition from Monday, October 10 to to Sunday, October 16running from 10.30am-4pm. This will be backed by over 40 Highland artists, many acclaimed in their own right. Said Hilary: "The talent is wonderful."

There will be a coffee shop in the attached hall supplying many home bakes and a warm fire for all to enjoy while perusing the art work. All are welcome.
