The Dingwall yarn bomber has struck again in Ross-shire's county town – this time with Valentine's Day-themed knitting throughout the High Street.

Yarn bombing, as defined by Oxford Languages is the act of covering objects or structures in public places with decorative knitted material, as a form of street art – and Dingwall is the latest town to join in the fun.

The woman behind the knitting is University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) art graduate, Sharon Marshall.

It all started when Sharon was given the opportunity to yarn bomb a car in the Dicksons showroom, followed by some work for the Loch Ness knit festival which included yarn bombing at Inverness Airport.

This new-found hobby led Sharon to take her knitting talents to her home town of Dingwall.

The positive response to the yarn bombing from the community encourage Sharon to keep it going, and form a yarn-bombing group.

As well as the Valentine's Day display, the group were also behind the Christmas display, and the Poppy display for Remembrance Day last year.
