The sound of Christmas resonated through the aisles of Dornoch Cathedral this morning with a joyful string of carolling performances by children from Dornoch Primary and Nursery.
Pupils were piped down to the Cathedral by Danny Parkin before demonstrating their festive vocal skills in front of their classmates and families.
Primary 1-3 let themselves be heard with lovely renditions of "A Child in a Manger Born" and "Unto us a Child is Born", before Primary 4 and 5 responded with the upbeat "Christmas Calypso".
Primary 6 and 7 rounded the morning off with "Feliz Navidad" before P7s read the "Story of Christmas".
Rev Carol Anne Porter, Locum Minister at Dornoch Cathedral, led the service.
She said: "It was a pleasure to have Dornoch Primary and Nursery come to the Cathedral this morning.
"We enjoy working with the staff and children throughout the year, supporting the school community as best we can, and so it was lovely to be able to celebrate Christmas together as they head on a well deserved and we hope, enjoyable, break.
"The children told the story of the first Christmas and brought us carols old and new to enjoy. It was lovely to see so many parents, family and friends too, we were pleased to welcome them all and hope they might find their way back on Christmas Eve and beyond."
