Bonar Bridge Primary School's family ceilidh on the last Friday in January turned out to be a fantastic night.

The event in Ardgay Hall raised more than £500 for the school and the parent council.

The Rogart Ceilidh Band kept the music going and the dance floor full.

Ceilidh-goers enjoyed a delicious spread of food with school cook Janice Macdonald providing delicious soup and scones.

There was also a large spread of home baking and tea and coffee provided by the parent council. Parents and carers also made donations to the baking.

Teacher Lisa Mackenzie said: "It was such a lovely night for all ages and it was wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves.

"The Rogart Ceilidh Band provided excellent music as always and there was a brilliant atmosphere throughout the night.

"It was a really successful event which we hope to repeat in the future."
