Kong is a friendly, confident ferret looking for his forever family.

He is currently being cared for by the Scottish SPCA Caithness and Sutherland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Kong loves to be out of his cage exploring and playing in his ball pit.

He was originally a stray so the society doesn’t know much about his background or age, but he is happy to be handled and likes to play around your feet whilst you’re cleaning his enclosure.

Like all ferrets, he will need a new home with plenty of space to explore and lots of enrichment to keep him occupied.

The staff at the centre is unsure if Kong has ever lived with other ferrets but he seems unfazed by his ferret neighbours. He could potentially be rehomed with other ferrets providing he has his own accommodation to begin with, so that he can be introduced gradually.

Can you give an animal a loving home? Every year the Scottish SPCA’s Caithness and Sutherland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Balmore, near Thurso, provides a safe haven for all sorts of animals that have nowhere else to go.This can be for a variety of reasons – abuse, abandonment, death of their owner or even the simple fact their owner is no longer able to look after them. While they’re loved at the Caithness and Sutherland centre, the staff want just one thing for the animals in their care – for them to find a loving forever home. All rehoming is taking place online at the moment. If you think you’re that person and have room in your life for a pet see here
