Nearly 1500 people conquered the 10k Loch Ness Beast Race on Saturday.

Summery weather made for ideal conditions with participants getting a chance to cool off in the famous loch.

A total of 1475 people completed the obstacle course on the Aldourie Castle Estate, near Dores.

The top three men were Ricci Carrino (51 minutes and 21 seconds), Rowan White (51:25) and Sam Hesling (52:29), while the top three women were Kata Markus (one hour, three minutes and 46 seconds), Kenzie Sharkey (1:04:03) and Sandie Pow (1:05:01).

The annual event, which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, helped raise money for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland.
