Stornoway favourites Peat and Diesel have taken residency at the old Parlett’s newsagents in Ullapool for their merchandise pop-up shop over the festive season.

The pop-up shop on Shore Street was expected to open yesterday, Friday, December 1, to coincide with the switch on of Ullapool's Christmas lights..

A wide range of Peat and Diesel merchandise will be available at the pop-up shop until early January.

Rumour has it that band members Calum “Boydie” MacLeod, Innes Scott and Uilly Macleod, will make a surprise appearance in the shop on Sunday afternoon.

Announcing the pop-up shop on social media, Peat and Diesel said: “We are pleased to announce our pop-up residency at the old Parlett’s newsagents in Ullapool.

“The shop will open this coming Friday and will be filled with a wide range of all P&D merchandise through until early January 2024.

“Three familiar faces will be serving you on Sunday afternoon if you’re about, come along and grab your merch and have a yarn with us!”

With over 1000 likes on the Facebook post so far, the shop looks likely to be a popular draw.
