Part of Kessock Bridge closed last night due to a 'police incident'

The northbound lane of the Kessock Bridge was closed for around half-an-hour last night due to a 'police incident'.

Emergency services were sent to the scene and Traffic Scotland advised motorists to use an alternative route from 7.18pm.

A police spokeswoman said it was a "concern for person call".

The northbound carriageway of the A9 was reopened at 7.45pm.

It is understood there was a safe resolution.
