PARKLANDS Care Homes has boosted its management team in the Highlands with an appointment in Tain

Mel Oliver has been appointed to the new role of deputy manager at Innis Mhor in Tain. Mel is a well-known figure at Innis Mhor, having worked at the home for eight years, first as a carer and latterly as a shift leader.

Mel said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to step up the ladder again in my career. I am overwhelmed with the support and encouragement from fellow workers and friends and family. I feel very lucky and hope to succeed in the new role and look forward to the future.”

Innis Mhor manager Kate Walker said: "I am so pleased to be working with Mel, she is an excellent addition to our management team."

Mel has been shortlisted for the Carer of the Year award at this year's Highland Heroes Awards. As well as working in the care sector, and being a mum, Mel supports her husband Martyn, who has multiple sclerosis.
