The operators of Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame are planning to provide additional static caravan stances at the seaside Embo holiday park.

Parkdean Holiday Parks Limited is seeking consent from Highland Council to change the use of a 1.63 acre section of land within the park, which in total extends over 54 acres.

The area in question currently accommodates 35 stances with electric hook-up points for tents and touring caravans.

But Parkdean now want instead to provide 21 static caravan stances for holiday use - along with “ancillary development”, including service connections to each unit and hardstanding driveways.

Its application states: “The top part of the application site is mown grassland which accommodates 35 existing stances and is proposed to be replaced with 14 static stances. The bottom part of the site is unoccupied mown grassland, north of an area of sand dunes and would accommodate seven static stances.”
