AN overnight housebreaking in an Easter Ross town has triggered an appeal from police this morning.

Police say a first floor flat in the Cromartie Gardens area of Tain was entered forcibly and property stolen from inside.

It happened at around 2am this morning.

It's understood a games console, gaming equipment and clothing were amongst the items taken.

They have appealed for anyone with information about the incident or the identity of anyone involved is asked to contact police.

Police can be contacted on 101 quoting reference number 0233 of March 17, 2023.
