Over 800 homes affected by further power outage in north-west Sutherland

An unplanned power outage has left more than 800 homes and businesses without power in the north-west Sutherland this evening, as Storm Babet continues to rage through the north.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) have confirmed they are awaiting an update from engineers after a fault was reported at 7.05pm.

64 postcodes in the IV27 4xx range have been affected by the unplanned outage, impacting homes and business in Kinlochbervie, Scourie and surrounding areas.
