Crofters in north-west Sutherland are being encouraged to think about the future of their crofts.

The scheme, entitled 'Succession:Building a Stronger Crofting Future' aims to encourage crofters to think about the future of their croft and to support them with succession planning.

Crofters in these target areas are to be sent an information pack giving them information.

In addition drop-in events have been scheduled where commission staff and workers from other support organisations will be on hand to offer advice and support.

Such an event will take place at Lochinver Village Hall on Monday, November 6, from 5pm to 8pm.

The Crofting Commission regulates and promotes the interest of crofting in Scotland to ensure the future of crofting.
