North neighbours enjoy Postcode Lottery success

Nine people in Inverness were celebrating yesterday after winning £1000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The Raigmore Avenue neighbours netted the windfall when IV2 3UW was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery today.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What brilliant news to kick start your weekend. Congratulations to our winners, I’m sure they’ll be celebrating tonight!”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by Girlguiding which has received over £5.8 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Girlguiding is active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can now apply for funding.
