North coast set to celebrate music, language, culture and community with return of Fèis Air an Oir

Communities on the north coast are gearing up for a busy week with Fèis Air an Oir running from Monday to Friday, July 18-22.

The week of music, language, culture and community is centred round Farr High School at Bettyhill.

The feis is split into Fèis Bheag Bhiodach for children aged 0-4; Fèis Bheag for P1-P3 age; and Fèis Mhor for those aged from eight to 18.

In addition to musical instruction, a host of activities has been organised from soft play and bouncy castle fun to multi-sports, story and song sessions and rock pooling.

A family ceilidh dance with Addie Harper and Friends is being held in Tongue Village Hall from 7.30pm on Monday.

And the ever popular tutor concert is at Strathy Village Hall on Wednesday from 7.30pm. Admission £12/£8.
