People will get a chance to find out how technology can help them live 'safely, happily, healthily, and independently at home' at an event organised by NHS Highland.

The health board's technology enabled care (TEC) team is hosting a free drop-in event at Leonardo Hotel, in Inverness, from 11am-3pm on April 27.

The day will feature many organisations who are able to help people use digital technologies, and companies who offer digital technologies and gadgets for people to buy, like Possum, Alzheimer’s Scotland, Buddi, Sight Action and AbilityNet.

NHS Highland chief executive Pam Dudek said: “NHS Highland has always been at the forefront of technology enabled care and the promotion of digital technologies, so we are especially proud to be hosting this home-grown event for the second time, and to have attracted so many organisations to come along to showcase their technology.”
