NHS Highland to hold Covid-19 and flu vaccination clinics in Helmsdale, Bettyhill, Brora and Scourie

NHS Highland is holding a number of flu and Covid-19 vaccination clinics in Sutherland communities over the next two weeks.

The clinics are open to all aged 50 and over as well as other eligible risk groups.

The clinics in Helmsdale, Bettyhill, Brora and Scourie are open to all aged 50 and over as well as other eligible risk groups. All the clinics will run from 10am to 6pm.

Flu vaccinations for at risk children aged from six months to five-years will also be given at the same clinics but in a specific time slot.

The venues and dates are as follows:

Helmsdale - Football Club at Couper Park on Monday, October 3. Children's clinic 5pm-6pm.

Bettyhill - mobile unit, Gordon Terrace on Wednesday, October 5. Children's clinic 5pm-5.30pm.

Brora - Scout and Guide Hall on Saturday, October 8. Children's clinic 5pm-6pm.

Scourie - Medical practice on Tuesday, October 11. Children's clinic - 4pm-4.30pm.

All people aged 65 or over should have received a scheduled appointment for coronavirus and flu vaccinations.

If you have not received one, bookings can be made through the local Service Delivery Centre helpline. Ring 08000 320 339 or visit the online portal here.

An NHS Highland spokesman said: "We will only be in these areas once this winter. Please come forward for your vaccination if you can."
