A NHS spokesperson said: "Our Health Information and Resources team are able to identify where these vitamins have been distributed and we are contacting them all individually to advise them of the product recall and asking them to check the LOT number on their supply.

"Colleagues have also been asked to stop distribution of product with this LOT number."

If you do have an affected batch please safely dispose of the vitamins at home. You can contact the Health Information and Resources team to request more vitamins at hirs.mailbox@nhs.scot or 01463 704647.

The spokesperson added: "We understand that this may cause concern for some. Of the 80,000 that have been distributed across Scotland there have only been a small number of cases reported, none of which are in Highland."
