New police officers for Highlands

Eight probationary officers have joined the Highlands and Islands Division of Police Scotland.

A force spokesman said: Congratulations to the latest group of eight probationary officers joining us.

"They completed their localised training after 12 weeks at the Scottish Police College with some road policing duties in Inverness.

"They will now be out on duty across the division, based out of Dingwall, Alness, Tain, Aviemore, Nairn and Inverness."
