New Ledge climbing centre opens in Inverness
A state-of-the-art climbing centre opened in Inverness at the weekend.
The Ledge has been developed in the former Bensons for Beds unit in Telford Street.
It features Scotland’s only Olympic-standard bouldering wall and will also provide a community hub.
A spokesman for the Ledge stated: "We have just had a test day and are now ready to open to the public.
"This means that we will officially be open for bouldering, top-rope, lead and auto belay climbing.
"The training rooms, café, gym and yoga studio are not yet completed but we expect to have them fully open during the week commencing April 24 and start all our courses in early May."
The Ledge charity will offer support for a range of people including those rehabilitating from cancer, survivors of sexual violence, non-attending school children, young carers and children at risk of being involved in county lines drug dealing.
