New Flowers and Fairs team needed at Dornoch

The local group who organise the summer floral display in Dornoch have decided to step back this year.

A new team is now sought to take over this worthwhile project.

This will be the 24th year since fundraising began in 1996. Over the years many compliments have been received from both visitors and residents on how the display enhances the town. A new group of volunteers will need to be formed so this year’s display can take place. The current volunteers will be available to support the new team in the initial period.

Dornoch and District Community Association co-chairwoman, Vicki Mackenzie said: “The Flowers and Fairs volunteers have put many years of effort to make our town look beautiful. In order for this to continue new volunteers are urged to come forward.”
