Amy Fraser officially “cuts” the ribbon watched by Co-operative Store Manager, Jillian McNab, and Nicole Foreman, Emma Macleod, Sophie Allan, Jessica Hillin, Matthew Tomalin, Nathan Lockie, Karen Irvine and Daniel Goskirk.

The new-look Dornoch Co-op was officially opened yesterday.

Children from Dornoch Primary School performed the ribbon cutting ceremony, with Gillian MacNab, shop manager, at the store.

The youngsters will receive a donation of £200 for school funds.

The Co-operative has invested £500,000 to fully refurbish its food store at Cathedral Square.

The investment will bring a brand new layout to the store, new décor, eco-refrigeration and signage, two additional tills and a new in-store bakery, ensuring a more pleasant shopping experience for people picking up their groceries locally.

Extensive ranges of fresh fruit and vegetables and higher welfare meat and fish will continue.
