New crisis website set up for north coast residents

Community councils in north Sutherland have banded together to create a new website where residents in the area can access updates and information during the pandemic.

The web site – www.northsutherlandcrisis.co.uk – covers the community council areas of Bettyhill; Strathnaver and Altnaharra; Tongue; Melness and Skerray; Strathy and Armadale; and Melvich and Alladale.

It is intended that it will be updated regularly and provide factual local and regional information quickly and easily.

The new site contains useful advice on a wide range of issues such as how to stay safe during the coronavirus crisis and what financial support is available.

It also provides opening times, home delivery information, contact details, and information about special measures at shops and stores.
