Aberdeen features in former Cream legend's tour schedule

ROCK icon Jack Bruce, one of the founder members of legendary 1960s band Cream, will play Aberdeen's Music Hall this spring with his Big Blues Band.
The Scot will appear at the city centre venue on Thursday, March 13, as part of a national tour, and tickets for the gig have already gone on sale.
One of the true giants of modern music, Bruce was the vocalist and bass player in Cream and composer of many of their classic hits, including White Room, Sunshine of Your Love and I Feel Free.
Before that he played in John Mayall's Blues Breakers and the classic Blues Incorporated.
His new 10-piece band covers the Cream hits and classics by the likes of BB King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Albert King, Howlin' Wolf and Robert Cray.
The line-up includes guitarist Tony Remy, drummer Frank Tontoh, keyboard player Paddy Milner, bassist Nick Cohen, trombonist Winston Rollins, tenor sax player Derek Nash and trumpeter Paul Newton.
Bruce has maintained a solo career that spans several decades, and played in several critically acclaimed musical ensembles.
Easily recognised as a memorable vocalist and bass guitarist, he has been referred to as a world-class pioneer on his main instrument.
But he is also renowned as the composer of some of the most endurable and recognisable rock songs of our time, an accomplished classical, jazz and Latin musician and the owner of one of popular music's most distinctive and evocative voices.
Trained as a classical cellist, Bruce has always considered himself to be a jazz musician, although much of his catalogue of compositions and recordings are in the blues and rock and roll genre.
