Ironworks shows pay tribute to rock giants

CLASSIC rock returns to the Ironworks with two acts paying tribute to two of music’s most iconic groups.
The Doors Alive, who appear at the Inverness venue on Saturday 10th May, are a British tribute band widely regarded as the closest representation of the legendary 1960’s rock gods The Doors.
Ron Clooney, author of the novel Mr. Mojo Risin’ about the last days of The Doors, certainly believes Doors Alive frontman Willie Scott does a good job of capturing the magic of the legendary Jim Morrison.
"If you thought Val Kilmer was good, be warned this guy is even better," he has stated.
"Moving and singing like Morrison the rich baritone clung to the air like molasses. Simply The best Doors tribute band on the road at the moment."
Even Doug Cameron, assistant road manager to the original band in the late ’60s has called the British group the best Doors tribute band he has ever seen.
Whole Lotta Led, who come to The Ironworks on Saturday 21st June, are the UK’s longest running professional Led Zeppelin tribute band with 18 years experience.
2014 sees the band delve even deeper into Zep’s back catalogue to perform songs never played live before.
Tickets for both shows are on sale from Friday 31st January.
