Tommy Reilly returns to the Ironworks on September 21 promoting his new – and third – album Waking A Sleepwalker, out on Sunday.

Tommy (24) – who got massive public support when he appeared on Channel 4’s T4 Orange unsigned talent search in 2009 – has since scored a top 20 single and a Scottish number one.

He worked on his debut album with ex-Suede guitarist and now respected producer Bernard Butler and also became a veteran of the festival scene – playing T In The Park, RockNess and Glastonbury.

For his second album, Tommy worked with Roddy Hart and performed the album’s songs at SXSW in Texas, later touring with The Proclaimers and Justin Currie.

His latest album was recorded with Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai) at Chem 19 studio in Glasgow with some of the city’s best-known indie acts Admiral Fallow and Frightened Rabbit.

His last single Shut My Eyes was out in May.

Tommy’s support for the Inverness date will be Dylan Tierney.

Tickets are on sale from the venue now.
