It is a homecoming for Rona, winner of the BBC Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award.

She lived at the Mound as a child and attended the Gaelic medium unit at Craighill Primary School, Tain. She was also an active member of Gizzenbriggs.

Since then she has played all over the world.

Marit, a multi-instrumentalist, is regarded as an outstanding player of the Nordic mandola.

The pair are well known for blending their Scottish Gaelic and Scandinavian roots. In Edderton, they will be playing music from their current EP release, Nollaig.

Newly-penned Christmas songs sit alongside well-loved hymns and puirt-a-beul from the Gaelic world. They will also play music from their album Turas.

The event starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets (£10/£8 (unwaged)/£5 (young people over 12)/Free (under 12s) are available now from www.maritandrona.eventbrite.co.uk.
