Drivers are being warned to take care on the A9 in Sutherland and particularly in the Golspie area with icy conditions reported.

Traffic Scotland tweeted at 11.35am today: “Reports suggest several lorries are having traction issues due to the weather on the A9 at Golspie."

It said workers were currently on the scene and were gritting the carriageway.
