Highland schools could be closed again in mid-March due to industrial action in an ongoing pay dispute.

Schools were shut today and will be closed tomorrow due to strikes.

Teaching unions Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS) members, and others, want a 10 per cent pay rise but Scottish Government has not been able to meet that demand.

All parts of Scotland are set to be impacted by the next round of strikes, with EIS members likely to strike at all Highland schools on March 15, then at just Highland primaries on March 16 and just Highland secondaries on March 14.
