This year's Miss Scotland winner has left Inverness to go to India in the bid to be crowned Miss World as she competes against over 100 women from across the globe.

Chelsie Allison (26) scooped the title as Miss Scotland in October 2023.

The Tesco Mobile retail manager will spend five weeks in India as part of the competition.

Chelsie said: "It is an absolute dream come true.

"I can't thank everyone enough for all the support I have received since being crowned in October.

"I can't wait to take you all along this amazing journey with me!

"Miss World, here we come."

In aid of the pageant, Chelsie has also supported the Highland Hospice as her chosen charity after two of her relatives, who sadly passed away, were taken into the hospice where they received an exceptional standard of care.

She now plans to continue her work alongside the hospice and aims to raise as much money for the cause.
