An application for consent to site four glamping pods on an unused “paddock” at 185 Migdale, Bonar Bridge, has been granted

Fiona MacLeod applied for permission to change the use of the 2026 square metre area ground in September and the go-ahead has now been given.

The development also includes access paths, a parking zone for four vehicles, decking area, planting and a new sewage treatment plant.

Planners said the proposals accorded with the provisions of the development plan and there were no material considerations which would warrant refusal.

Highland Council received one representation from Gavin and Marianne Ross regarding the application.

The couple said the development would be within 200 metres of their croft and they had concerns that it could be intrusive and felt it would be better placed to the west side of the applicant’s house.

They were also worried about visitors’ dogs straying onto their croft and disturbing sheep.
