Member of staff threatened in Brora 'shop robbery'

Reports are coming through of a robbery at a shop in a Sutherland village.

A member of staff was threatened in the incident earlier today at furniture store Steps Emporium at Station Square, Brora.

The emporium houses a branch post office.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a robbery at a shop in Station Square, Brora, around 9.20am on Monday, January 9.

“A member of staff was threatened but not injured. Enquires are at an early stage and are ongoing."

It is understood that police put roadblocks in place.
