Man to be reported to procurator fiscal for an offence after one hurt in smash on A9 in Easter Ross

A 65-year-old man will be reported to the procurator fiscal after one person was taken to hospital following a crash in Easter Ross.

The two car collision happened yesterday afternoon at around 4pm on the A9 at the trunk route's junction with the road to Balintore.

A Nissan X-Trail and a Nissan Qashqai were involved in the accident, police said.

One person was taken to hospital for treatment but police did not give any further details.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 65-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to a road traffic offence following a two-car crash on the A9, near to the junction with the B9165, at around 4pm on Thursday, 17 November, 2022."
