Police name man killed in Highland road accident and renew appeal for information

POLICE in the Highlands have renewed an appeal for information following a road traffic accident that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.

Police named the man who died following the crash on the B9101 at Bognafuaran, near Nairn, on Friday, November 25, as Callum Ewen, from the Fochabers area.

The three-vehicle crash at Bognafuaran, by Nairn was reported to police at around 7.35am on Friday. It happened on the B9101 near the junction of the A939.

Police said Mr Ewen's family have asked for their privacy to be respected.

Road policing sergeant Chris Donaldson said: “Our thoughts remain with Callum’s family at a very difficult time.

“Enquiries are still ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would again appeal to anyone who may have information about it to please get in touch with us, quoting incident number 0492 of 25 November, 2022.”
