MacMoray Festival’s set timings confirmed as Blue to close Saturday and Scouting For Girls to close Sunday
THE set timings for May’s MacMoray Festival have been confirmed - with Blue to play the Saturday evening slot and Scouting For Girls closing the event on Sunday.
Both acts will take to the stage at 9pm and play their respective days to a close. Seven acts will play on both days of the festival, which is taking place across the weekend of May 4 and 5.
Cartoons will open the main stage on Saturday at 12.30pm, with Black Lace to be the opener on Sunday.
Due to a double booking with an event in Manchester, Basshunter is no longer attending MacMoray’s May festival.
Organiser Andy MacDonald said he was ‘sorry and gutted’, and that Basshunter ‘owes us a favour’.
“I'm truly gutted and disheartened that Basshunter’s agent told me they made a mistake and double booked,” he said.
“I have been trying my hardest to find a last-minute solution but all I can say right now is Basshunter owes us all a favour big time.
“I love the joy MacMoray brings to our community, and we have to try and not let Basshunter’s absence dampen our spirits.
“Without Basshunter, we are still bringing more top artists to MacMoray than we ever have, and our second stage is stronger than ever.
“I am gutted, and I am sorry.”
Along with the main stage, the second stage line-up has been confirmed - with 16 unique acts to play across the two days. The act closing the second stage on Saturday night is yet to be announced.
